- To install the program, place the 3 1/2" diskette in any
- drive, drive A: for example, make A: the default drive and
- at the A:>_ prompt, enter the command:

- INSTALL (press the <ENTER> key)
-
- Follow the instructions on the screen. The default in-
- stallation is C:\VEHICLES. You may enter the drive and
- the subdirectory for YOUR installation choice.

- Then, use the <ENTER> key to place or remove an X at your
- installation selection. (Probably to install both the
- program and the files )

- The USER MANUAL for The TRUCK DATA SYSTEM is in a
- self-extracting file named MANUAL.EXE An addendum to the
- user manual is in ADDEND.EXE

- You can print a copy of these instructions directly from this
- diskette. Just put this diskette in drive A: ( or any drive ),
- make A: the default drive by typing A: and press <ENTER>. Be
- sure your printer is on and ready - enter the command:

- MANUAL -p ( and press <ENTER> )

- There are 62 pages of instructions. To print the additional
- 5 pages of the addendum, use the command:

- ADDEND -p ( and press <ENTER> )

- If you would rather, you may also extract the user manual files
- to a diskette or to your hard drive. The filse are PKZIP self
- extracting files and can be unzipped by copying them into a
- subdirectory or to another diskette and, at the prompt for
- that drive, enter the command:

- MANUAL ( and press <ENTER> ) and then
- ADDEND ( and press <ENTER> )

- There are five files in the user manual - TLCVER6.NO1,
- TLCVER6.NO2, TLCVER6.NO3, TLCVER6.NO4 and TLCVER6.NO5 which
- total over 190,000 bytes. The addendum is 16,200 bytes.

- The TRUCK DATA SYSTEM is Copyright 1988-1995 TLC Software and
- was written by James H. Wilson. This copy of The TRUCK DATA
- SYSTEM is distributed through SHAREWARE and you are free to use
- it for a reasonable evaluation period...say, about 30 days or so.
- If you find the program to be useful and you continue to use it,
- you must send a registration fee of $125 to TLC Software. When
- you register, we will send you a diskette without the SHAREWARE
- messages. Your diskette will include the $200 program with the
- $75 work order option at no extra cost plus, a printed user
- manual, you can receive telephone support as needed and will be
- placed on our mailing list to receive update notices and special
- upgrading fee offers. Your registration supports the effort to
- keep improving the program to better meet your needs. There is
- also a NETWORK version of the program. The fee for that program
- is $500 with unlimited users on a single network. A special
- SHAREWARE user registration fee for the network version is $425.
